Bottom Head Carts

NorWest Hydraulic is a leader in the design and manufacture of Bottom Head Carts, used in the unheading of the bottom heads of coke drums.

The unique design incorporates a sequential drive system which applies torque evenly to the four wheels. Our redundant drive mechanism incorporated in the cart design improves reliability, and the cart has the structural integrity and power to raise the head under a full drum of coke.

NorWest Hydraulic's design also eliminates jamming and sticking of the head. The proprietary hose support insures reliable operation of the cart and eliminates wear and premature replacement of the hoses.
