Hydraulic Skirt Lifter

The raising and lowering of the coke drum skirt as part of the overall decoking process has placed operators at risk of bodily harm.

NorWest Hydraulic has installed a proprietary hydraulic skirt lifting device in several refineries throughout the United States.

In these applications, operator exposure to steam, hot water, and falling coke has been virtually eliminated because the hydraulically automated telescoping skirts are controlled from a remote location.

In addition, this system will eliminate all binding and insure uniform raising and lowering of the telescoping skirts.
