Top Head Remote Unheading System

NorWest Hydraulic provides a system design for the remote automated operation of the top head of the coke drum. This system provides both safety improvements and increased productivity.

Personnel are at risk of exposure when the last bolts are removed manually or when an air hoist is used to raise the head. Opening and closing the top head by utilizing this hydraulic system eliminates most of these potential dangers to personnel. The top head can be closed to reduce exposure to the drill operator while switching drill modes.

This addition to your coker will also increase efficiency by reducing the amount of time required for the unheading process.
